About Us

Stauffer Design LLC of Lancaster,

Pennsylvania, was founded by Joe

Stauffer in the fall of 2007. After

beginning his career in the

mechanical engineering field, and

then working for a high-end custom

cabinetry manufacturer, Joe

decided to start a business that

would allow him to combine his

creative ambitions with his firm

understanding of fit and function.

The result was Stauffer Design LLC—a custom cabinetry design firm able to meet the needs of the cabinetry designer/showroom and individual customer alike. Utilizing the freedom and power of computer-aided drafting and modern communication, Stauffer Design is able to work virtually anywhere with ease. As an ambitious small business owner, Joe is constantly brainstorming for new and improved ways to serve his customers. Outside of work, he enjoys building electric guitars, biking and running, playing in bands, and spending time with his wife and three children.

Dan Carpenter also got his custom

cabinetry career started at

Christiana Cabinetry, performing

many different engineering tasks

over his years there. Having

periodically helped Joe with

overflow work on the side, he

decided to come to Stauffer Design

full time in early 2010, and has been

proving his CAD designer talents

ever since. In his spare time, Dan

also enjoys playing music (drums), riding and working on motorcycles, participating in youth ministry, and spending time with his wife and daughter.

Derrick Diffenderfer is the newest addition to the Stauffer Design team. This spring has brought on a large influx of projects. Derrick is working with us on a part-time basis to ensure we maintain a short project lead time. Given his many years of CAD design experience working at Premier Custom Built, we look forward to bringing him on full time when circumstances allow. In his spare time, Derrick enjoys many different hobbies including: soccer, volleyball, baseball, and building fly fishing rods and canoes.
